Sandy Munro just completed an interview with Elon at SpaceX Boca Chica. One of the interesting things that came out is that the new upgraded model S and X will have lithium-ion batteries. The goal was to have the aux battery last as long as the main pack. Awesome! This will probably make it into the CyberTruck!
