How Far Out Did We See Production Ready Model X/Y/3?

Anyone recall how far out from production we saw images of final design exterior/interior of other Tesla Models? I seem to recall we were seeing tons of different test mule “spy shots” of Model Y about 6-months out. From everything we’ve heard, it sounds like the CT that is out there now is basically a concept car. Will be curious when we start seeing evidence of more production ready examples.

The final Model Y configuration wasn’t seen until 1-2 months before production. There were prototypes seen doing different kinds of testing (long distance, winter, mountains, off-roading, city driving, etc) about a year out. I remember the forums making a big deal (rightfully so) about just about every new sighting. I didn’t have a reservation for the earlier models so I wasn’t paying sepulchral close attention.
