Yeah, I'm with you...let's just hope it's an April Fools Day joke. That rendering is a nothing-burger. If this is the new design, cancel my reservation. "gimme my money back.

We contacted the author (Al Root) at Barron's to let him know it was a hoax, and this was his reply:

Ha, I did not see the hash tag. I reached out to Tesla and they didn't respond. I have been punked. At least I called the redesign meaningless. ​

He’s indicated to us that he’s already submitted a corrected article and it’s waiting to be published.
