That's why I mentioned the 5th wheel campers early in this topic. That's what I would like to own someday. Tesla definitely should NOT get into the nightmare of building and supporting the living portion of an RV.
Tesla could be about to create the most-desirable vehicle as a basis for RVs on the planet. Can the semi directly connect to a 5th-wheel camper? I don't know if the 5th wheels on semis and campers are compatible with each other. If not, it should be reasonably easy to adapt.
I think Tesla started making the most popular versions of the Model 3 and/or Y first. So, the most popular version of the CT (the 2-motor) will probably be the version built first. That's what I reserved.
I wish I had one to replace my ancient, noisy YZ250. I was super-disappointed when Alta disappeared. I was looking forward to owning one. Maybe I'll find an used one for a deal I can't refuse, but the lack of replacement parts scares me.
It will replace 2 of our vehicles (a '99 Dodge Ram that's getting flakey and my Avalon daily driver). Can't wait to downsize and simplify my life at the same time! Also looking forward to eventually selling power using V2G and having a whole-house power back-up. What a crazy-cool future.
