Guess I just want to focus on the traffic and conditions. For making a call, navigation and finding music its great, for operating the vehicle its not. Imagine being on the phone, or having a car full of kids trying to get a voice command trough the war in the back ?
I've got some problems using my right hand, so touch screen for wipers and such might not be the best. That's why. Otherwise it would be great, thanks.
I thought more in the line of an extension of the existing tesla infotainment, so that you could have speedometer and thing's like that in front of you. That would free up the main screen for radio and such.
Sure but you already do that, and you will have to register devices and equipment from the car. And critical systems should of course not be accessible. I guess a tesla can be hacked and hijacked overe the air anyways, it's supposed to have robotaxi capability.
Thats exactly the point, you should have that option. I would like the opportunity to equip mine with some ekstra knobs and screens , voice commands aren't always practical.
It would be great if if we were able to customize the dash for our needs. Use tablet or phone as extra instruments, and add wireless knobs and switches for use with volume control, climate control, mirrors and so on. For some a convenience, for others to overcome a disability. What do you think?
It's similar rules in the us, it would have to be registered as light truck /c1 anyway. And that class of vehicle don't have as strict requirements. But I'll guess we'll see in a couple of years..
My Silverado is 210cm x 585 cm and fits fine in Norway, the cybertruck is only 2cm (about 1 inch) longer. If I was in the market for something smaller I wouldn't need a truck then would I?! Does anyone have any information about this?
I'm a fan of the design as is so I don't think I would buy a aftermarket alternative. Although it would be interesting with a triangular or reshapable bedliner you could take out and mount on top if needed.. Carbon fiber ?
Yeah I don't know where the motor for the tonneau is but having a hinge like function in the bend should be doable. There's about a 105° bend in the rail as is, and making it move between 85 and 105 should be easy, and the top sides seems to be just a cover. Obviously if it can't be done within...
I would like to have it built in as standard, don't really need to much laying around when I don't use it. The tonneau would be hinged in the front and be used as roof. It won't be that much different from the original design, and completely hidden when not in use.
How about having a vault lid you could raise, to be able to transport higher cargo without it getting wet. Could use waterproof canvas or collapsable panels on the sides, and the ramp to seal it from behind. Solar side panels could be great for the solar panels package, just raise and fold out.
