  1. Does everyone believe FSD will be viable in the next 3 years? 5 years? 10 years?

... was just spitballing there. My IA got 7% last year and as long as I'm running ahead of inflation I'm not sweating it. But TY for the offer!
  2. Does everyone believe FSD will be viable in the next 3 years? 5 years? 10 years?

Exactly! I can take my $10k, invest it @ for a 5% gain every year. When Lvl5 FSD is truly here, the cost will drop dramatically as all mfgs will be delivering their version. Tesla may be ahead of the game now... but there are a lot of competitors working hard to do the same things.
  3. Does everyone believe FSD will be viable in the next 3 years? 5 years? 10 years?

I don't think FSD is really possible in the near term with current HW... and the current AI (as cool as it is). I mean that as Level 5, zero intervention, point to point trips with safety at levels that commercial aviation has. Maybe 10 years from now? Unless there are some spectacular...
  4. Hope this doesn’t happen with the CyberTruck

Believe me, I won't buy it! I'm not dropping $80k CDN on a machine I can't rely on. I am so glad I'm not in the first 300k orders! When my number comes up, either Tesla will be delivering a quality product, or I will have plenty of other options. Yes this is a bunch of hypotheticals! As...
  5. Hope this doesn’t happen with the CyberTruck

I am in complete agreement with you. I've about the same position in line (400's), but I have gone from being excited to wary of what they might deliver in terms of quality. And it shouldn't be that way... especially for the CT! Yes there are lots of people that will accept whatever flaws it may...
  6. Hope this doesn’t happen with the CyberTruck

I think this sort of "fix" is absolutely unacceptable. CT pricing gives it an expectation for fit/finish and long term quality ( if I'm dropping >$80,000CDN on a vehicle, I expect it to be very close to flawless). CT is not an entry level cheap and crappy Datsun truck from the 70's. If they...
  7. What if your place in line cost $1000.00?

I may have made a reservation @ $1,000 back in January? .... today very unlikely. Production quality and durability of the CT vehicle is very much TBD, especially with the myriad of issues popping up with M3. Everytime I read one of those it brings back nightmares of Plymouth & Pontiac...
  8. Will I need a armoured vehicle permit for Cybertruck in British Columbia?

I think the "bulletproof" Cybertruck is more of a marketing tagline. Do true armored vehicles just have 3mm steel panels?
  9. Update: Cybertruck Will Keep Concept's Size, But Separate Smaller Cybertruck Likely!

Really disappointing. Bigger <> better to everyone.
  10. Anyone thinking of changing to a different Tesla model?

Shame they can't change the name to "Model T" .... :)
  11. Cybertruck (Orders) Demand Would Take 3-4 Years Production to Fulfill Says Musk

Assume lets say... 500,000 reservations as of today. Soooo... Subtract 25% for cancellations. Assume production volume ramp up is similar to M3 , which delivered 438,634 in 2.5 years (according to Wiki) Assume production actually starts by Jan 2022. Negative influences: 1) It could turn...
