All the CT pictures I have seen have no badging. A suggested one for CT made in the new Austin facility:

Made in Texas with American skill.

I have enjoyed my very reliable Toyotas, but I want to wave the flag with my CT. FWIW, I am scared spitless by the CT. It is HUGE. My largest previous vehicle (by a LARGE margin) was an extended cab Toyota Tacoma. The CT will be my first vehicle with 6 passenger seating and my first vehicle which can beat a 911S Turbo 0-60. I will probably be 75YO when the CT arrives. You are only as old as you act. I am upgrading from a Prius so will probably rent an F-150 for a week or so to get accustomed to HUGE.

Like your logic, but....... the whole vehicle is THE badge, no need for any other graphics, simple and bold.

I’m sure when production starts Tesla will put it’s “T” badge somewhere on the CT. The problem with that people who don’t follow auto trends still won’t know what it is! They won’t even suspect it’s a truck if the VAULT is closed. It’ll look like some kind of giant futurist SUV. I suppose they could badge them with raised lettering on the fenders or doors (CT/1, CT/2 or CT/3) that would look cool, but the raised badge might add some time to your 0 to 60 due to wind resistance.:unsure::unsure::unsure:

They have never done trimotor, so I'd like to see trimotor on. Like the Dual Motor badge now. Some bragging rights. A warning for those POS Hondas to not mess with you.

They could etch TESLA into the front and the back in big letters. On the back they could do the same kind of dual/tri motor thing they do with the 3 and Y now.

By the time Cybertruck rolls off the assembly line, anyone who doesn't recognize it for what it is instantly, should be declared a simpleton. Badges? We ain't got no badges...

A badge is essentially an advertisement and it costs money. Why would anyone want to pay more for a vehicle that they then drive around advertising for the company they bought the vehicle from for free? What benefit do you get from being a billboard for someone else's economic gain? Is it like wearing a Gucci logo shirt so that other people see that you wasted $500 on a t shirt? For status symbols to work they have to be unobtainable for most people and they need to be badged if they are essentially the same as obtainable goods to differentiate them.
The CT is actually not an expensive vehicle and therefore obtainable by the masses (Maybe not at first due to reservation list). It is a practical vehicle and it is distinctive. And Teslas mission is transitioning to sustainable automotive, meaning they are not trying to build exclusive vehicles but are trying for practical vehicles that anyone can use.
Besides all that Elon has already said it will not have any badges.
Yup your 3 motor will look identical to a 1 motor and no one will know that you spent 40k more. So you will have no reason to spend 40k more unless you need the additional function.

I’ve been wondering how hard it would be to polish a badge onto it. If the tailgate is all dull, could you polish the letters TESLA onto it? They would be super shiny and probably only visible from certain angles.

I really like this idea, very subtle. People are discussing polished CT or not... why not certain parts polished, even certain panels, the hard edges give perfect transition points.

Badgeless, the whole Cybertruck is "the badge" . There would not be a sole on the planet that would not know who made the Cybertruck. Its kind of like the Blackbird spy plane { SR-71 } ,
it doesn't need to say "Blackbird" on the side of it for anyone to know what it is, The shape of it tells you what it is.
