There was a discussion in another thread about the age of those who will be Cybertruck owners, so it'd be interesting to see the ages of the Cybertruck Owners Club community.

If all the other parameters stay the same going from ICE to EV is going to have the greatest emotional shift the older one is.
I am in my 60's. I have hated ICE all my life, from lawn mowers to cars. I daydream about the main form of transportation being a horse though I am NOT THAT OLD to know. But just not having to deal with the grease, fuel, battery acid, radiator fluid...and that's just dealing with the fluids...oh wait...transmission and brake fluids...
Even though my father made me teardown and put back together the first car I owned I've never wanted to touch an ICE. and then 30 years ago they reduced my ability to work on ICE's by putting computers in them...
So yeah, gimme electric. It will be a relief.
And then with all my fitness levels declining, and my mental ones (no comments), I'll be glad to go autonomous. It will be a relief.

Mid 40's here. I've also wanted an ICE alternative for many years. Due to my family size I've owned several mid to large SUVs and I hate the dependency on oil.

I remember back when Honda launched the Element. It has some things in common with the CT. It was an unorthodox design and was marketed as the Swiss army knife of vehicles. I remember Honda expecting it's low price and outdoorsiness would appeal to young people, but by far it's demographic was older people. I wonder if the CT will have the same sort of following.

Already Interesting. I will Probably just be turning 30 by the time i get my hands on the CyberTruck. I had initially been putting away money for a Model 3, but when i saw the semi reveal and heard Musk talking about the truck i decided to wait. Now i just gotta keep my current vehicle going till then ?

I will be up on the hill by the time I get my CyberTruck, but I am not worried, I would have enjoyed a Jeep (that I would have gotten before CyberTruck) and now I will enjoy my CyberTruck a few years later.

Yes, it is a boring, rainy day here.

But yes, it is the older guys who are the biggest buyers of cars and trucks today. When my generation (boomers) were young getting wheels opened up so many avenues of freedom, so many vistas, so much free space to us that over crowding, draconian laws, political correctness etc. have taken away from the young people of today. They just don't seem that interested in cars and projected sales indicate that.

Now that 131 people have responded the curve does look more Gaussian. Current median is about 44. That is, I believe, lower than it is for the general truck buying market.

The curve makes sense, at my age i have yet to purchase a NEW truck and most of the guys i know around my age do not drive trucks either. If anything its more SUV drivers or cars. Plus in Houston most people i work with drive over 30+ miles a day commute, doing that commute in a pickup seems pointless.

Edit: i am actually surprised the percentage of people in my age group.

Well, I did with the Model 3, but definitely missing my truck.
